WAS IT WORTH IT? | MARDI HIMAL TREK 2026

This was my first trek, and honestly, it had been a long time coming. Since the beginning of this year, I'd been wanting to get out for some fresh air after some unforeseen circumstances. We finally planned it, and we actually did it: the Mardi Himal Base Camp trek. It's said to be an easy, beginner-friendly trek. For us, it wasn't that easy. But that's what made it worth it. The weather wasn't great for most of the trek, and then, on the day we went up to the base camp, the mountains surprised us. That view made everything before it worth it. These 6 days, from Kathmandu to Pokhara, up the mountain, and back home to Itahari, will always stay close to my heart. They were arguably the best days of my life.
