Slipping into an old shirt behind the door and tracing the roads driven when the bond was strong, the track captures the beauty and sorrow of holding onto a past that refuses to fade. The track masterfully builds tension with deep sub-bass pulses, arpeggiated synths, and widening harmonies before plunging into a breathless instrumental drop silence and erupting into a towering final chorus driven by gated snares, shimmering guitar haze, and high-register anthemic belts. --- Lyric Highlights I found your shirt behind the door It smells like every night before Saturday, I put it on And drove the route when we were strong The dashboard clock said half past eight The same time I would never wait The way we were, it never dies The way we were beneath those skies Wind in my hair, your laugh out loud The way we were above the crowd The way we were on Friday nights The way we were in neon lights I passed the diner where we'd sit Your side of the booth still has your dent The jukebox played the song we'd share I heard your voice but you weren't there My hands still curl where yours would fit The muscle memory won't quit I stopped the car at our old spot And sat inside what time forgot The stars look just the way they did When you were mine and we were kids I wore your shirt to feel you close I drove past everything we chose My eyes were wet, my grip was tight This nostalgia burns like dynamite The way we were, it never dies The way we were beneath those skies Wind in my hair, your laugh out loud The way we were, I'll say it proud The way we were on every street The way we were made me complete --- Credits Artist: Aion Lyrics and Composition: Aion Title: The Way We Were Producer: Aion Music Production Mixing & Mastering: Aion Studios Recording Engineer: Aion Records Artwork & Visuals: Aion Creative Team Label: Aion Rec --- Listen & Connect with Aion Stream, follow, and subscribe to stay updated with the latest Emotional Pop, Synth-pop, and Indie fusions: 🔔 YouTube:    / @aion-rec   🎵 YouTube Music:    / @aion-rec   🎧 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/52uys... 🍎 Apple Music:   / aiion   --- Queries Solved & Keywords In this video, we explore: New Emotional Pop music and independent artist showcases.
