The entire village expanded through the descendants of Sardar Karan Singh Virk. The village was divided into four pattis: Murali Patti, Sand Patti, Male Wali Patti, and Virdich Patti. Each patti was represented by notable Virk Sardars including Sardar Tehal Singh Virk, Sardar Jawala Singh Virk, Sardar Inder Singh Virk, and Sardar Mohar Singh Virk. During the Partition of Punjab in 1947, Sardar Mohar Singh Virk stayed in Pakistan and later embraced Islam, adopting the name Ahmed Ali. His family connections with relatives who migrated to India still exist today. Before Partition, the village had three gurdwaras and one mosque. Most houses were mud-built, except for a few permanent homes belonging to Chaudhry Sundar Singh, Man Singh, Anok Singh, and Beli Ram Khatri. Prominent teachers of the village school included Karam Singh, Des Raj Khatri, Parmanand, and Mian Naimat Shah. 🎵 Music Credit: "Dhun (Sarangi, Tabla)" by Sandeep Das, Aneesh Mishra Provided by YouTube Audio Library    • Dhun (Sarangi, Tabla)   Karyal Kalan village history Sardar Karan Singh Virk Virk clan Punjab Pre Partition Punjab villages Sikh Muslim harmony Punjab Punjab partition history Historic villages of Punjab #KaryalKalan #PunjabVillageHistory #HistoricPunjab #PunjabHeritage #VillageHistory #PartitionOfPunjab #Punjab1947 #PrePartitionPunjab #SharedHeritage #SikhMuslimHistory #VirkClan #SardarKaranSinghVirk #PunjabiSardars #PunjabRoots #PunjabHistory #DesiHistory #UntoldStories #CulturalHeritage #SouthAsianHistory
