Deaf Awareness Month | Danielle's Story

September is Deaf Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the Deaf community, promote inclusion, and recognize the many ways people connect and communicate. Meet Danielle, a Special Olympics Wisconsin athlete whose determination extends far beyond the playing field. Through sports, Danielle has built friendships, confidence, and opportunities to connect with others. As a member of the Deaf community, she also works every day to help those around her better understand how to communicate and engage with her.
