Justin Gaethje May Never Fight Again

Chael Sonnen is in Salt Lake City and has heard enough around the UFC to reconsider something he previously didn't believe: Justin Gaethje may genuinely be considering retirement. Chael explains why Gaethje is in a uniquely clean position to walk away. There is no personal rivalry with Arman Tsarukyan, no announced fight, no obvious No. 1 contender waiting on him and no unfinished business forcing his hand. Unlike other retirement situations where a major matchup was already hanging over the champion, Gaethje could leave without ducking anyone or leaving an obvious fight behind. Chael still wants Gaethje to make whatever decision is right for him. But after previously dismissing the retirement talk, he now believes the possibility that Justin Gaethje has fought for the final time is much more real than most fans realize.
