One of my all-time favorite death metal albums deserves a proper tribute! 🔥 This is my drum cover of “Manic Demise” by Malevolent Creation, taken from their legendary 1998 album The Fine Art of Murder. Released on October 27, 1998 through Pavement Music, The Fine Art of Murder is the sixth studio album from the Florida death metal masters. The record marked the return of vocalist Brett Hoffmann and drummer Dave Culross, alongside Phil Fasciana, Rob Barrett and Gordon Simms. “Manic Demise” is the second track on the album and, for me, perfectly represents the combination of brutality, speed, dark riffing and rhythmic precision that makes this record so special. The song also showcases the incredible drumming of Dave Culross, whose performance was a huge inspiration for taking on this cover. The Fine Art of Murder is one of my favorite death metal albums of all time, so recording this drum cover was a real pleasure and a great challenge.
