1000 Miles from Home and the Van is Overheating

Van life continues, and this time the road to Switzerland had other plans for us. We start the day with a slow breakfast and some chatting before fuelling up and hitting the road towards Switzerland. But just over an hour into the drive, our van loses power and starts overheating, forcing us to pull over on the motorway. Not exactly the scenic stop we had in mind. We limp our way to Imst and head straight to a local Ford garage, drowning our worries in cake and coffee while we wait to hear if the van will make it. Spoiler: it doesn't. So we make the most of an unplanned stop, exploring Imst and stumbling across a wine vending machine (yes, really). The next day we lace up for a waterfall hike and a walk to Pestkapelle before heading back to find out if the van has finally been fixed, and add up exactly how much this whole ordeal has cost us. After a laundry stop in St Anton am Arlberg, of course, more issues find us. We wake up the next morning, fuel up, and finally cross the border into Liechtenstein, squeezing in some Austrian bakery treats along the way before crossing into Switzerland at last.
