Truck Spotting at Birkenhead Docks | Part 2

Join me back at Birkenhead Docks on the Wirral, Merseyside, for Part 2 of 2 of our early-morning truck spotting session, filmed on Monday 12th October 2026. Continuing from Part 1, we spend more time watching the steady flow of HGV traffic arriving and departing from Birkenhead Docks, as the morning progresses and the port gets busier. With a variety of trucks from different haulage operators, manufacturers and transport companies passing through, there's plenty of everyday commercial vehicle activity to enjoy. Unlike Part 1, which featured several impressive show trucks returning from the Drifterstyle Truck Show in Northern Ireland, this second instalment concentrates on the normal working trucks serving the docks, capturing the mixture of vehicles involved in moving freight to and from the port. From tractor units and trailers to other commercial vehicles, the footage provides a snapshot of a typical working morning around one of Merseyside's important freight locations. But there's a rather special ending to this session! As filming draws to a close, we capture a police-escorted abnormal load convoy making its way through the area, accompanied by police vehicles and escort vans. The convoy provides an impressive finale, with the additional escort vehicles and carefully controlled movements offering something very different from the regular dock traffic seen earlier in the video.
