PART 15 of Brickville, CO - Art Deco Skyscraper 5

Skyscrapers are my thing. I enjoy the different eras that have happened over the past century starting with the NYC Flat Iron building of 1902 transitioning to the Art Deco age is the 20’s and 30’s into the glass boxes of the late 20th century up to the super tall skyscrapers like 432 Park Avenue on billionaire’s row. Each style of architecture has its pros and cons. The greatest era of the Art Deco Skyscrapers lends themselves perfectly to the LEGO way of building, although if the scale is large enough, any structure can be replicated with LEGO. I’ve found many great MOC LEGO building designs over the past year, however I keep going back (and building) the MOCs created by Labronco Brick Designs on Rebrickable.com. His designs are some of most tastefully and realistic I’ve found. So when he posted his latest design, Art Deco Skyscraper 5, I have to build it. Labronco Brick Designs does more that slap some parts together and call it a building, as his build notes explain, he gets inspiration from various sources such as the New York Central Rail Road and various designers of the time. A lot of thought goes into his buildings and it shows. Not only do they look good, but are well designed from a modular perspective. Check him out on Rebrickable.com… You won’t be disappointed!
