Caster Jacking

In this video I demonstrate the weight transfer effects of caster angle using RC drift cars with varying degrees of caster in their front alignment. Understanding the caster jacking principle is key for getting the kind of drift-feel you want out of your car. A car without caster jacking is going to mostly load the leading rear tire during drift as the car rolls. A car with medium caster jacking is going to have a somewhat balanced weight distribution between lead and trailing rear tire. Max caster jacking is going to put more weight over the trailing rear tire. All three of these settings feel completely different both front and rear. Mid-drift reaction to throttle input is the most stark difference between these settings. Zero-spec doesn't change angle with throttle inputs. Middle--spec adds angle as you add throttle. 3-wheel spec loses angle as you add throttle. Try them out and see what suits your style best!
