We drove from Tianhe to Sihai City & Tianhe City (Panyu) to join the Halloween fun. It was HEAVY traffic all the way along Huangpu Avenue & South China Expressway. The 22km ride took us over an hour! We caught a stunning salted-egg-yolk sunset beside the Canton Tower on the way. When we arrived at Sihai City, it was packed with cosplayers! There were all kinds of creative costumes, from cartoon characters to the Four Great Talents of Jiangnan, plus pumpkin & skull Halloween decorations. Lots of young people came here for photos. We tried Japanese curry eel rice and fried chicken, but the food was just so-so because the restaurant was overcrowded. Many girls were doing their Halloween makeup in the restroom. Leaving was even worse. Cars and pedestrians were stuck together. The subway implemented crowd control, and electric bikes weaved through the road randomly. We headed back to Tianhe at the end.
