I Will Call Upon You | Psalm 50:15 KJV | Original Christian Folk Rock | AngelSong Productions

*I WILL CALL UPON YOU — An AngelSong Productions Original* *“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” — Psalm 50:15 (KJV)* This song began with a simple thought: What happens when we take God's own words and answer Him with a declaration of faith? In Psalm 50, God speaks to His people about what truly matters. He doesn't need our possessions or elaborate offerings. Everything already belongs to Him. He asks for thanksgiving, faithfulness, and trust. And then comes that remarkable promise in verse 15: *“Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”* I picked up my guitar and turned that promise into a personal response: *I will call upon You In the day of trouble You will deliver me And I will glorify Your name.* That's the heart of this song. I wrote the original verse and chorus melodies on my guitar, then used AI-assisted production to develop the arrangement while staying as close as possible to my original musical ideas and vocal character. The result is a gentle, acoustic folk-rock song rooted in Scripture, with a message of trust, thanksgiving, and confidence in God's faithfulness. What I particularly appreciate about Psalm 50 is that God isn't asking us to impress Him. He's asking us to trust Him, call upon Him, and give Him the glory. And deliverance doesn't always mean that every difficulty disappears immediately. Sometimes God brings us through the trouble, strengthening and sustaining us along the way. *SONG CREDITS* *Title:* I Will Call Upon You *Scriptural Inspiration:* Psalm 50:1–15, King James Version *Original Lyrics, Verse & Chorus Melodies:* Brian Hade *Creative Partner:* Scott Williams *President & Co-Founder, AngelSong.org:* Scott Williams *Musical Production:* AI-assisted with Suno *Presented by:* AngelSong Productions *ABOUT ANGELSONG* AngelSong.org exists to help believers who are inspired to create original Christian music develop and share their songs.
