My Ugly Duckling is this battered wash stand, the tiles are broken and missing, and the pine frame is stained and tired. Check out how I transformed it into a beautiful swan: a chess table with matching pieces, and little storage drawers so you can use it as a cool coffee table when you're not playing! Bits and pieces I used and where to find them: Chess Pieces https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B... Dixie Belle Saltwater Silk Paint https://www.clairescrafthouse.co.uk/d... Holly's Design was born out of a love for beautiful interiors and beautiful furniture. Having worked in interior design for several years, I saw the value in traditional, well made furniture that is built to last, over our increasingly throw away culture. When my partner and I bought our first house it was empty! Without the budget or the inclination for a massive shopping spree, I started updating old pieces that were kindly gifted to us, and finding pieces on their way to the tip that I could renovate. I loved upcycling them to suit our style, and I got so addicted I had to start selling my work to make room! And so Holly's Design was born! I hope you enjoy being a part of the journey, and thank you for watching and supporting my little venture.
