Lyke-Wake Dirge - a capella vocal improvisation

Stark and uncompromising, these early verses are probably best suited to the unaccompanied voice. I have improvised on a modal theme, which no doubt belongs, in part, to various examples of medieval plainsong. I decided to change the tonality half way through, however, (at 'the Bridge o' Dread') since that seems to be the 'point of no return' in the lyric. On a technical point, the virtual space I have selected (convolution reverb) is sampled from the Vigeland Mausoleum in Oslo.
