Welcome back to What I Worked On This Week, my weekly art vlog! I’m still in the crunch getting ready for IlluxCon, finishing artwork, ordering frames, and pushing several pieces across the finish line. This week gets a little more personal. While struggling with my massive dragon piece, I found myself thinking about the emotional side of being an artist—the frustration, self-doubt, and the constant drive to keep creating even when a piece fights you every step of the way. Does our art have to change the world? Or is it enough to connect with one person, make them smile, and become part of their life? Maybe that’s enough. I also share progress on several charcoal and pastel pieces, including new storm clouds and ideas for gold lightning in my large dragon drawing.
