Following Christ's Example

What does it mean to follow Christ's example when life is unfair? In this Sunday morning Bible class, Brian Herberger leads an interactive study of 1 Peter 2:13–25, examining submission to authority, enduring unjust suffering, and living righteously even when others treat us unfairly. Through discussion and additional passages from Hebrews and 1 John, the class considers what it means to remain mindful of God, trust His faithfulness, and respond to others with the same love, mercy, and forgiveness Christ has shown us. The lesson concludes with Peter's description of Jesus as the Shepherd and Guardian of our souls, leading into the morning sermon, "Trust the Shepherd."
