Arrested for Reading: The Tougaloo Nine

In 1961, nine students at Tougaloo College entered the segregated Jackson Municipal Library in Mississippi and quietly began reading. Their peaceful protest became known as the Tougaloo Nine. This is a forgotten chapter of the American Civil Rights Movement.
