More Outside Drum Recording - "Cool Runnings"

I had so much fun the other day recording my drums outside at Miller Field in Staten Island that I returned back to the same spot today and recorded 3 more songs on drums out there. This time I actually attached my Zoom H1N to a tree branch above me for a great overhead position for the mics. I used a very high quality wind screen on the the mics that cut out nearly all wind noise, and I also put another Zoom about 3 feet in front of the kick about 6" off the ground. This combination I think is probably the best outside drum recording I have gotten using only 2 devices. I didn't use any of the camera audio this time. This is an older song that I released previously on the Mach-Man Mini collection, but remixed it, increased the tempo, and recorded the drums you see in this video. This is my $100 Ludwig Accent drum kit that I rewrapped in this amazing tropical wrap. I also swapped out the heads for Black Dots which I love when not using resonant heads. Toms are tuned VERY LOW as you can tell by how floppy the heads are in this video, haha. Cymbals are Paiste 402 Nickel Silver 14" Hats and 20" Ride, and the crash is a a Paiste PST7 19" Crash.
