A track from the compilation CD, "Mellow Jazz", issued in 2007. "What a Diff'rence a Day Made", also recorded as "What a Difference a Day Makes", is a popular song originally written in Spanish by María Grever, a Mexican songwriter, in 1934 with the title "Cuando vuelva a tu lado" ("When I Return to Your Side") and first recorded by Orquesta Pedro Vía that same year. A popular version in Spanish was later recorded by trio Los Panchos with Eydie Gormé in 1964. The song is also known in English as "What a Diff'rence a Day Makes", as popularised by Dinah Washington in 1959. _________________________________ Sarah Lois Vaughan (/vɔːn/, March 27, 1924 – April 3, 1990) was an American jazz singer and pianist. Nicknamed "Sassy", "The Divine One", and the "Queen of Bebop", she won two Grammy Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, and was nominated for a total of nine Grammy Awards. She was given an NEA Jazz Masters Award in 1989. Critic Scott Yanow wrote that she had "one of the most wondrous voices of the 20th century". _________________________________ This track was recorded directly to computer from the CD and processed using Audacity software. The video was created in Movie Maker, where the images and the music track were assembled into the final product. Creating just one video such as this from a single track on a CD takes around fifteen minutes from start to finish, therefore an eighteen-track CD takes more than three hours to process.
