Your MRI technologist will monitor you throughout the exam and can communicate with you while your images are being taken.
Some MRI exams may require contrast to help highlight certain tissues. Whether contrast is needed will depend on the exam ordered by your healthcare provider.
Your care team will provide instructions specific to your MRI. Always follow the preparation and safety instructions provided by your healthcare provider and imaging center.
If you have questions or concerns before your MRI appointment, contact your healthcare provider or imaging center.
