Buthelezi family gathering

10 April 2024 - The KwaZulu-Natal Archives recorded the Buthelezi family gathering in iZinyambe (Nkamangweni) near Vryheid. A lively discussion ensued, focusing on early history of Isizwe sakwa Buthelezi genealogy; the founding fathers Buthulezi, Mlothwa, Ndaba, Shenge, Ngwane, Mlambo, Qwabungane, Inkosi Phungashe and ubukhosi bendlu kaSabobo baseNyakatho. Present at the gathering were representatives of ancient izigodlo; Emcakwini, Nsukazi, Mbongombogweni and Nkamangweni.
