Arranged and performed by Danilo Šajnović * This is a personal log of learning fingerstyle guitar, not by copying repertoire, but by developing my own arrangements and music through the principles of the style. A Stringprint is a small record of the journey. The instrument leaves its mark on us, while we slowly learn to leave something of ourselves through the music. I come from a background of electric guitar, composition, teaching, studio and live work. Fingerstyle became a different way of relating to the instrument. This series documents that process. Some pieces are original, others reinterpret music that mattered deeply somewhere, even when it never became part of a global canon. Music travels in different ways. Global centers create waves, and elsewhere, those waves can become resonances. I hope some of these Stringprints resonate with you.
