I wasn't ready for this hike in the Albanian Alps. Attempting a brutal mountain trek with zero fitness turned into a real physical and mental battle — and a lesson I won't forget. Above Theth, there's a tower where men were once locked inside to avoid being killed. Blood feud code — Kanun Law — that the communist regime tried to wipe out. Along with every church. Every mosque. As a complete beginner with poor fitness, this was far more challenging than expected: slippery trails, steep climbs, icy patches, and constant exhaustion at every step.
