Delaware Lackawanna: An ALCO Spectacular

On a drizzly Friday in May 2026, the Key Lock and Lantern club sponsored a special excursion on the Delaware Lackawanna Railroad. The trip would have special motive power. Starting off with Delaware & Hudson RS-3 4068 and CNJ RS-3 1554. Then an added surprise was added Nickel Plate Road PA-1 190 onto the lash up. And 190 pulled the trio down to south Scranton. Then 1554 would take the train home to Carbondale. It was good to finally get up and shoot our favorite make of historic diesels in operation. And a pair of RS-3s and a PA sure don't disappoint!
