Cycling in the French Vosges | Ballon d'Alsace | La Planche des Belles Filles

Although this mid-mountain range in the North East of France might not be at the top of the cyclist's destination bucketlist, it has seen epic battles in the history of the Tour de France. Most memorable is probably the time trial on the penultimate day of the Tour in 2020 where an almost certain victory for Primoz Roglic was upended by a young Tadej Pogacar on the slopes of the Planche des Belles Filles.
