1 hour of deep ocean ambient music for focus, study and calm. One night in a small research sphere, 1,000 m down in the midnight zone, starting at 2:47 AM.
Every frame is drawn in code and rendered in 1440p. Headphones recommended.
🌊 Midnight Zone at 2:47 · The Void Was Full
A listener on the night shift, a window full of stars, and a sonar that keeps hearing something.

🎧 AUDIO
Music created with AI-assisted generation; concept, lyrical direction, arrangement and mastering by 2:47 AM Studios.
Sonar pings, whale clicks, ballast and water are synthesised in code and timed to the physics (the echo returns exactly 2 beats later).
Mastered to -15 LUFS (EBU R128). Exactly 60:00.
💻 VISUALS
100% procedural: Canvas 2D + WebGL, rendered frame by frame at 2560×1440. No AI video.
The ambient motion follows the music's own beat, the "stars" twinkle with its high end, and the light on the wall follows the voice.
"The void was full. I was never alone."

Physics notes (spoilers ↓)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
· Stars don't twinkle in space. Twinkling (scintillation) is made by Earth's atmosphere; in a vacuum starlight is steady. Everything that twinkles in this window is alive: dinoflagellates and copepods flash when the water around them is disturbed.
· The sonar is the beat. At 72 BPM a ping that returns 2 beats later has travelled 1.667 s. In seawater (~1,500 m/s) that puts the sea floor 1,250 m below us. In air it would be 286 m.
· The second echo closes from 1,094 m to 156 m and comes back 3 cents sharp: something big, moving towards us (Doppler).
· Sperm whales hunt at 1,000 m and below and talk in clicks; the short rhythmic pattern near the end of IV is a coda.
· Water swallows red light first. At depth a red ribbon looks black; within a few metres of the surface it is red again.
· Lanternfish rise towards the surface every night (diel vertical migration).
· Artistic licence: the sphere climbs at 1.2 m/s (72 m/min), and we let the dawn blue reach deeper and earlier than real twilight would, because the story needed the light.
