I had the opportunity to attend the Rijk Zwaan Open Field Day in Benin Republic 🇧🇯, where farmers and agricultural professionals came together to see different vegetable varieties being showcased directly in the field. Rijk Zwaan showcased several of their vegetable seed varieties, giving farmers the opportunity to see how the crops are performing under actual field conditions. 🌱 From crop establishment and plant vigour to fruit quality, yield potential and overall field performance, it was a great opportunity to learn more about the varieties and what they can offer farmers. As a farmer myself, I always enjoy opportunities like this because seeing a variety perform in the field is completely different from simply looking at it in a catalogue.
