Kings Tor in the Mist | A Wet & Windy Dartmoor Walk

Join us for a very different Dartmoor walk as we head out towards Kings Tor The weather certainly wasn’t on our side today! We had rain, strong winds and thick mist across the moor, making for a wet and atmospheric walk — but despite the conditions, it was a brilliant day out. We cross streams, make our way through the mist and experience Dartmoor in one of its more wild and unpredictable moods. It was also a great opportunity to put some of my new walking gear to the test. My new Dare2b waterproof jacket, waterproof over-trousers, waterproof backpack cover and trekking poles all got a proper workout in the rain — exactly the sort of conditions you want to test your gear in! The weather may not have been perfect, but that’s part of walking on Dartmoor. Sometimes the mist, rain and wind make the walk even more memorable. Thanks for watching Moor To Sea. Real walks.
