What a Fly Fishing Guide Actually Carries Every Day

I’m a fly fishing guide and, admittedly, a bit of a gear hoarder. After 13 years of guiding trout on the Henry’s Fork and in Montana, this is everything I carry in my boat box every day, whether I’m in my drift boat, a buddy’s jet boat, or a raft. Fly boxes, tippet, safety gear, first aid, raft tools, a corkscrew for clients who bring wine, a hook sharpener I’ve never once used, and of course, dude wipes. Because you just never know. Is it overkill? Probably. But as a guide, being prepared is the one thing you can always control, and it goes a long way. What am I missing?
