Raag Jait (Komal Rishabh) by Vidushi Kamal Tambe

Vidushi Kamal tai Tambe sings an rarely heard Raga Jait which employs Komal Rishabh, Different from Jait Kalyan which is commonly sung by Jaipur gharana artists. This is also known as Shaam Ka Jawab to Morning Raga Bibhas(Shuddha Dhaivat) Vilambit Khayal- Pyare Balma Pandita Kamaltai was a senior disciple of Gaantapasvini Mogubai Kurdikar and a exponent of Jaipur-Atrauli Gaykee. She trained many students like Smt Kumudini Katdare, Smt Pratima Tilak, Shri Shaunak Abhisheki and so on. However her recordings are difficult to come by. I will be posting few of her recordings so that her beautiful gaykee reaches more people. One can surely see effect of Mogubai ji's rigorous taleem in her immaculate style. As the recording is not done professionally and its very old, there are bound to be some glitches and errors. However I feel that it shouldn't stop this beautiful music from reaching people!
