Why Do Horses Push On People?

Horses push or crowd people for several reasons, including as a greeting or asking for a scratch/touch or checking out the status of a relationship. But many horses push on people out of confusion and a lack of clarity as to their role in the relationship with a person. This is a training problem and I explore why this happens. I teach Good Horsemanship around the world helping people to understand the emotional and mental component of how horses operate to achieve both a willing partnership and bond and to maximize the performance potential of a horse.
