How Did This Disaster Produce the Fastest Lap?

I honestly have no idea what happened in this Fuji race. Qualifying was terrible, I was well off my usual pace, and from there things somehow got even stranger. The fuel estimate said I did not have enough to finish, despite putting in what should have been enough laps of fuel… and then it turned out I actually did have enough anyway. I also started losing the car in places I normally never struggle with, made far too many mistakes, and even managed to misjudge one situation badly enough to rip someone’s tyre off. Then, just to make things even more confusing, there was a car facing me on track with no yellow flag at all. And somehow, in the middle of all that, I set the fastest lap of the race. Not a particularly impressive fastest lap for the kind of lobbies I usually race in, but still.
