Pinglu Canal Officially Opens to Navigation: Southwest China Gains a Direct Sea Outlet

The Pinglu Canal is officially open to navigation. As the backbone project of the New International Land‑Sea Trade Corridor, this 134.2‑km Class‑Ⅰinland waterway links the Xijiang River with the Beibu Gulf. It cuts shipping distance for Southwest China by over 560 km and strengthens trade links with ASEAN.
