The Indian festivals are right around the corner and we all look for ways to get ready for them. Even with restricted movements because of covid-19, nobody has stopped celebrating the festivals. Nobody has stopped dressing up for the festivals, even when the celebrations are at home. So why not try a new look with me? I have done grey hair colour at home, removed my facial hair at home and did a quick makeup that is so versatile that it will go with any saree or any ethnic dress. Do you also want a good festival glow and an easy way to colour your hair naturally at home? Watch this video, as I bring to you a fabulous idea to colour your hair at home using a natural hair color that isn’t harsh on the scalp. Identify the problem areas: • Firstly, it is important to identify the grey hair areas. • If you have grey hair from the roots till mid-length or grey hair only on a section of the scalp then you can safely choose to do root touch up at home. • Else, if your greys are scattered all over your scalp then you will have to do full hair colour at home. Things you need to do Grey hair colour at home: • A hair colour of your choice. I will be using Godrej Expert Rich Crème Hair Colour • Non-metallic mixing bowl • A comb and a brush • A pair of plastic gloves • Vaseline or petroleum jelly Advantages of using Godrej Expert Rich crème hair colour: • Godrej Expert is free of ammonia and hence, safe for hair. Even after using it for a long time, it will not cause any damage to your hair. • The unique formula contains 10x aloe vera and works wonders on the hair. • The crème-based formula doesn’t drip and it doesn’t create any mess. • Godrej Expert comes in pre-measured sachets and you needn’t worry about the amount of crème and developer. • This natural hair colour has a pleasingly sweet fragrance. There is no harsh smell that will irritate your olfactory senses. How to do grey hair colour at home: • Apply petroleum jelly on the hair line, jawline, neck and wherever you think the hair colour can touch and stain your skin. • Start from the center section, apply the colour and then move to the next section. Keep taking small sections of hair and keep applying hair colour for good coverage. • Comb your hair so that hair color spreads evenly and covers the entire scalp. • Finally secure your hair with a clip. • Keep the colour for 30 minutes and then wash off the colour. Facial Hair removal I stay away from razors as it leads to increased facial hair growth for me. I recommend using tweezers and trimmers to remove facial hair. In the entire lockdown I have been using tweezer to remove extra hair from my eyebrows and upper lips. Easy Makeup Look Festivals are incomplete without dolling up. So here is a simple, evergreen make up look which will go really well with your saree, suit or even lehenga. Check out the few easy steps: • As a first step use the Primer on your face. This gives a smooth finish to your makeup. • Take a drop of foundation and blend it with a brush. • Use an eyebrow pencil to fill in the eyebrows and also give shape to them. • Next, we use concealer around the eyes and forehead to cover the pigmentation. • A Compaq powder is used to blend the foundation, concealer and have a flawless finish. • Do the eye-makeup of your choice. • Highlight the cheek bones and eyelids. • Apply kajal on your upper eyelid and lower waterline. This accentuates your eyes. • Use your favourite lipstick to finish the look. • Finally use the setting spray for a long-lasting make-up.
