BMW and MINI BEV/PHEV models from 2021 and newer can show several high-voltage related warnings in the instrument cluster, and in some cases Ready mode cannot be activated.
Fault codes such as 0317F1, 0317F2 and 0317F3 may be stored for a high-voltage system isolation fault. For a professional workshop, this can quickly become a difficult EV diagnostic case, especially when the vehicle still refuses to start the high-voltage system after the obvious fault has been repaired.
The case is highly relevant for workshops working with BMW 5th generation electric drivetrains, MINI electric models, EV isolation faults, high-voltage diagnostics, CCU faults, EME/inverter related issues, drive motor faults, and situations where the fault code memory does not tell the full story.
