MPs Raise Concern Over Entebbe Church Tragedy, Demand Government Action

Ugandan Members of Parliament have raised concern over the collapse of a church building in the Entebbe area, where people were feared trapped beneath the rubble. The building, under construction at Holy City Church associated with Brother Ronnie Makabai, collapsed on October 26, 2026, in the Bwerenga/Kawuku area of Katabi Town Council, Wakiso District. Police and Uganda People's Defence Forces personnel joined the rescue operation. Reports published on October 26 and 27 indicated that at least 22 people had been rescued, while authorities continued efforts to establish whether anyone remained trapped.
