In this video we are going to talk about, The top foods to avoid if you have a hypothyroid condition. Goitrogens are things that cause a goiter. A goiter is an enlarged thyroid gland. Goitrogenic foods interfere with certain enzymes and hormones and can lead to a goiter.
Foods to avoid for hypothyroidism:
1. Cassava
2. Lima beans
3. Sorgum
4. Sweet potato
5. Flax seed
6. Cruciferous vegetables
7. Soy products
8. Onions
9. Gluten
You would also want to avoid anything that depletes selenium, iodine, iron, and vitamin A.
Good sources of selenium and iodine: -

• Sea salt

• Red meat
• Animal products
Good sources of vitamin A: -
