Hey, it's been a while. Today I wanted to bring some attention to GRIME II. It's no secret that I invested quite some time playing the prequel "GRIME", so I had to record some videos on GRIME II. And what a treat it has been. GRIME II plays fairly similar to GRIME, but at the same time, it throws a wrench into the mix to shake things up. The movement feels fluid and you have the ability to go pretty fast from the get-go. And there's no stamina now. Or, more accurately, there is, but it only acts as a bonus, which means you can still dash and attack at 0 stamina and not be penalized by it. To compensate the lack of limitations, you can only use the special attack of a weapon by charging it first (with regular attacks). Breath is now gained on kills or pulls, so no need for parrying if you're not good at it. Molds make a debut, acting as the items in the old game. However, depending on their type, these can be replenish either by attacking, or at surrogates. There's no more need to hoard stuff in case you'll need it later! You can interact with the backgrounds from time to time, as many collectables need to be gathered from there. And secret breakable walls are easier to spot now, as little green hands sprout from them and try to reach for you when you get closer. The environments are also just as gruesome, grotesque and unique as those in its predecessor, and the story seems equally cryptic, yet interesting enough. Oh, and the soundtrack keeps you hooked all the way. I spent several minutes on the intro screen just listening to the song when I first opened the game. Overall, GRIME II feels somewhat easier than the prequel. It may be because of all the options you have available. There's also a story mode which allows you to modify certain values to your liking, though I haven't tried it myself. As for the performance, it seems fine, but I've noticed some minor sporadic hiccups here and there. I'm sure they'll be ironed out later on. Anyway, I just need to say one last thing.
