Everything about this panel is motion: the outstretched hand, the torn cursed energy fanning across the page, that cold unbothered stare while everything around him gets torn apart. If you know this moment, you know exactly how much menace it carries. This is a wide cinematic manga panel in black, white and grey — no colour, every bit of depth pulled from pen work and marker tone alone. I built it in stages: the pencil sketch of Sukuna and the slash shapes, then the inking that gives the cleave marks their razor edges, and finally the background where the grey Copic markers came in to layer up the motion streaks and shadows that make him pop off the page. Getting those slashing shapes to feel fast and violent rather than stiff was the hardest and most satisfying part of the whole piece. I used a Pentel mechanical pencil for the base sketch, Sakura Pigma Micron pens for every line, hatch and solid black, and Copic markers to build the greys of the background and motion.
