This song is awesome! Super fun '80s jam that absolutely lives up to its title - that outro solo especially is no joke. (the spoken word intro is all empty for everything other than vocals and keys, guitar starts at 1:00) Squeezing was as challenging as the song itself, there are a whopping 8 acts in the song, which were not made any easier by quite a few punishingly short gapped sustains. Because of that I had to play this at a significantly higher delay than usual, but was still able to execute the strategy exactly as planned after accounting for the reduced whammy potential. This run got everything I was aiming for, most notably the tight whammy squeeze that happens in the outro solo at the very end. My timings weren't quite perfect there since I was mainly focused on just not missing any notes, but it was still enough to do what was needed. There were a few others that were tricky too - verse 2 was also pretty tight on timings, and the first solo act was a little difficult to execute immediately after getting OD in the first solo since the front end is on a HOPO that's easy to accidentally hit before starting the act. To top if all off there's also a BRE; 11095 was close to my highest ever, I only had 1 run barely surpass 11.1k so getting that good of an ending on top of excellent ticks and no other notable mistakes was very rewarding. Modifiers used: 60 FPS Venue (didn't matter in this case - Music Video venues are always locked to 30 FPS) Post FX disabled Note Judgments: Perfects, Detailed Hits, Timing Hits Highway: 50% Transparency Streak: RB3 Unused Purple Overdrive: RB1 Guitar (0.50, 0.14, 0.70) Gems: Rock Band 2 DX (specifically because the OD gem texture is purple lol) Strikeline: Festival (Pro) Flares: RB3 Particles: RB4 Legacy Sustains: RB4 Lanes: Oh no, let's go Score Box: RB1 Purple Stars: Fortnite Festival Font: VCS OSD Solo Box: GH80s BRE: RB3 Track Rails: Acid Rain (one might even say purple rain) Beat Lines: RB3 Pink Overdrive Bar: RB3 Light Purple Multiplier Ring: RB2 Lane Breakers Feedback: The chart itself was overall well made - I appreciate that it was tough but fair, the outro solo in particular was just the right balance of needing some practice to get the patterns down but becoming relatively consistent and very satisfying to play after a few runs to learn it. The biggest real issue I had with it was the extremely short sustain gaps, especially when leading into dynamically tight patterns in the choruses. On high BPM songs like this the standard shortening of sustains doesn't work nearly as well since the resolution for ticking back only grants a much smaller gap based on the tempo. Making the default gap a little wider and giving a little extra lenience on sustains that lead directly into fast patterns to account for RB3's notoriously dynamic hit windows would have made a huge playability difference. A few patterns felt off compared to the audio, eg. the chord HOPOs into a grace note 33% of the way into solo 1 sound like they should be the exact same rhythm as the descending patterns that happen immediately after it, as well as that bizarre double red strum at 3:45 which feels like a straight up charting mistake.
