Late-Game Meltdown and Overtime Finish The Cowboys appeared to have full control of the game, holding a 17-3 lead in the third quarter and leading 24-10 early in the fourth quarter. However, the game turned completely when Arizona benched starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett in favor of backup Gardner Minshew II. Minshew sparked an incredible rally, engineering four straight touchdown drives and throwing three fourth-quarter touchdowns. With just 1:09 remaining in regulation, Brandon Aubrey kicked a 41-yard field goal to extend Dallas' lead to 30-24. Minshew then marched the Cardinals 80 yards with no timeouts, firing a 13-yard touchdown pass to Michael Wilson with just six seconds left to tie the game. Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland missed the potentially game-winning extra point wide left, forcing the game into overtime tied at 30-30. In the extra period, the Cowboys' offense stalled on a critical three-and-out, gaining only one yard on their sole possession. Minshew and running back Tyler Allgeier quickly drove the Cardinals 44 yards into field goal range, allowing Ryland to redeem himself by hitting a 42-yard game-winning field goal to seal the comeback.
