I Was Bored at Work for Years. Then I chose myself.

Have you ever spent an entire workday watching the clock, waiting for the moment you could finally go home? I spent years in jobs that left me bored, disengaged, and wondering whether I had chosen the wrong career. In my last technical support job, I often felt that my creativity was going to waste. Today, I'm a freelancer living in Elche, Spain. Freelancing isn't easy, and the income isn't always predictable. But I have something I value enormously: more control over my time. In this video, I talk about: Why I was rarely happy in my previous jobs The career choice I wish I'd made differently Why my morning and evening bike rides were often the best parts of my day How being good at a job can simply lead to more work The trade-offs between employment and freelancing Why I regret not returning to freelancing sooner My goal of building products and other assets instead of relying entirely on trading time for money I'm not suggesting that everyone should quit their job and become a freelancer. Freelancing brings its own uncertainty, and it isn't the right fit for everyone. But if you're unhappy at work, perhaps it's time to start taking small steps toward a different future. *What's your experience?* Do you enjoy your job, or are you spending your days waiting for the weekend?
