“I CAN CARVE ANYTHING NOW” - ADEBISI ADEBAYO | ArtMiabo Podcast

In this episode of the ArtMiabo Podcast, we reconnect with Nigerian sculptor and woodcarver Adebisi Adebayo, a returning guest who first appeared during the 2024 ArtMiabo International Art Festival themed Sculptor’s Odyssey, where she was recognised as an award recipient for her contributions to sculpture and wood carving. A trained wood sculptor, Adebisi’s practice bridges traditional and contemporary approaches to carving. In this conversation, she reflects on her artistic journey, her deep connection to wood as a medium, and the realities of working in a discipline that remains physically demanding and historically male-dominated. She also shares insight into growth, confidence, creativity, and the future of sculpture in Nigeria. 🎧 Available on YouTube, Spotify, and all major platforms 📲 Follow ArtMiabo for more conversations shaping African creativity
