2025 Code Breaker Accessory Dwelling Units ADU

This one-hour virtual course focuses on requirements in the 2025 Energy Code, Title 24 Part 6, for accessory dwelling units. The course discusses how to identify the ADU type and how that affects Energy Code requirements for envelope, mechanical systems, photovoltaics, battery energy storage systems or battery readiness, and ECC, formerly HERS, measures. It also reviews how compliance metrics differ depending on ADU type, including new compliance metrics for new construction ADUs.
