From Crisis to Recovery: The Impact of the ECHO SHIP Project in Diinsor

This documentary highlights the impact of the ECHO SHIP Project in Diinsor District, Somalia, where integrated humanitarian interventions helped vulnerable internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and host communities recover from the effects of drought, severe acute malnutrition, and measles. Through the project, GREDO, in partnership with Oxfam under the SHIP Consortium led by World Vision Somalia, rehabilitated critical WASH infrastructure at Hilaal Health Centre and Diinsor General Hospital, improving access to clean water, sanitation, and healthcare services. The project also provided Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) to 600 vulnerable households with children affected by severe acute malnutrition and measles, following referrals from Hilaal Health Centre, while 1,000 beneficiaries enrolled in the Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP) received hygiene kits to support improved health and nutrition.
