Rahul Gandhi Joins Sit-In at India Gate Over Ankita Bhandari Murder Case | Ground Report

Ankita Bhandari Murder Case: Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi joined a sit-in at India Gate in New Delhi on Wednesday, standing in solidarity with the parents of Ankita Bhandari, the 19-year-old receptionist murdered in Uttarakhand in September 2022. Ankita Bhandari worked at the Vanantara resort in Rishikesh, where she was killed by resort manager Pulkit Arya, son of former BJP leader Vinod Arya. A court convicted Pulkit Arya in the case. During the protest, Ankita’s father appealed to President Droupadi Murmu to withhold the appointment of Dushyant Gautam as Sikkim Governor until the CBI investigation into the case is concluded. The family reportedly approached Rahul Gandhi’s office following Gautam’s appointment.
