What does it take to reach the most remote pub on mainland Britain? 🥾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Hidden deep in the Scottish Highlands, on the remote Knoydart Peninsula, lies a tiny village called Inverie. With no road connecting it to the rest of mainland Britain, getting there means arriving by boat or making your way through the rugged Scottish wilderness on foot. We chose the latter. Armed with heavy backpacks, camera gear, and a questionable amount of hiking experience, we set out from Kinloch Hourn to reach The Old Forge — often described as mainland Britain's most remote pub. What followed was a journey through some of Scotland's wildest landscapes, unpredictable weather, and the kind of moments that remind us why we love exploring places like this in the first place.
