The opening exterior scenes of the film were shot in downtown Fort Myers, mainly near Hendry and First streets. The fenced in helipad location and beach scenes were both filmed on Sanibel island, with the beach location being filmed on Bowman’s beach, which Lori Cardille’s character, Sarah Bowman, was named after.
