Welcome to Taste Beyond Borders, where we explore authentic street food, traditional markets, local food vendors and real stories from across Pakistan and around the world.
In this episode, we visit Old Anarkali Bazaar in Lahore, Pakistan, one of Lahore’s historic and long-standing marketplaces, known for its traditional food and busy market life.
Here, we meet a hardworking disabled woman who runs a small roadside food stall. She has lost one leg and is raising five children after the death of her husband. Despite her difficult circumstances, she continues working every night to support her family.
Her stall opens around 6:00 PM Pakistan time and continues serving customers until approximately 2:00 AM.
