Ultimate CRF450RL Maintenance Guide

Welcome back to Black Ring Moto! Today we’re spending some serious time in the garage tackling a comprehensive maintenance sweep and a few key upgrades on my friend's CRF450RL. Whether you're prepping for your next big trip or just staying on top of your service intervals, we're covering a ton of ground to get the bike dialed in perfectly. We kick things off with the routine maintenance—getting the air filter cleaned and lubricated, and running through a fresh oil change. From there, we get into the heavier work. I put the Harbor Freight tire changer stand to the test to pull the front wheel, then break out the angle grinder to chop off the old chain. We also walk through the installation of a new Tusk rear caliper bracket, fit a fresh chain (dialing in that crucial 55-65mm of slack), and finish up by properly torquing the rear axle and bleeding the brakes.
